Candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing programmes for design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning for each project from inception to completion. Development of tender programme into construction programme. Educating on construction methods, the Planning Manager will demonstrate the ability to inform members of the team the reasoning behind various programs. Manage input from different departments and take the lead on the programme development. Regularly measure progress with site teams highlighting areas of concern, if any, and introduce mitigation measures. Client liaison leading to client confidence in the project / multiple projects. Regular site visits to assist site teams with planning matters. Updating programme following change control procedure. Work closely with estimating/commercial staff. Phase drawing/planning information.
Ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or its equivalent degree (with a Project Planning Certification) and must demonstrate expertise of the planning process and construction activities preferably in the Middle East.
Candidate should also be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge of experience in the preparation of resourced project schedules, proficient in the maintenance and update of project schedules, have a good working knowledge in planning computer software, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project for monitoring progress throughout the construction process, with at least 10 – 15 years experience on the same field.
